Who owns Coastal Haven?

Coastal Haven Families, LLC (“CHF”) owns, manages, and operates Coastal Haven.

Must residents be LLC members?

No, anyone can be a resident at Coastal Haven.

Who can live at Coastal Haven?

Each CHF membership is entitled to house one person with disabilities in a Coastal Haven residence. CHF also offers rentals to the public. All residents are tenants and pay rent.

Who can join CHF?

CHF has one open membership and is seeking a female resident.

How can I apply to join?

To be considered for membership in CHF, sign up for a tour to see the site and houses and to learn more about membership requirements including the cost of a membership. During the tour, you’ll have the opportunity to register as an “interested family.”

How does CHF select members?

CHF does not maintain a waitlist. Instead, it keeps a list of interested families and contacts those who may be a good fit when a room is available. Because the residences are shared, the matching process prioritizes compatibility with existing residents in the house.

When an interested family is identified as a possible match, the family including the potential resident meets with the potential housemates and with the other CHF families. After gathering feedback from these interactions, CHF decides whether to offer the family membership.

How does a potential member become a member?

After CHF offers a family membership, the family pays a refundable deposit to receive the documents required for membership. If the family agrees to join, the membership votes whether to accept the new interested member. If accepted, they pay the remaining cost of its share in full to the LLC.

Cost details are available on confirmation of a tour.
